Getting ready…

“Dear sunam, Well, you did it. You’ve gone and pledged your November to the pursuit of the month-long novel. Whether this is your first or eleventh NaNoWriMo, we’re thrilled to have you writing with us.”

That’s right.  I officially signed up for NaNoWriMo today. I’m a little anxious about it, but I think it will be a fun thing for Joshua and I to do together. One concern I have is that I already started the book a few years ago. It’s pretty rough, but I want to continue with the story. I wonder: would be easier to start from scratch? Should I simply continue from where I left off? How much groundwork/outlining should I complete before the 1st?

I would also like to make myself a chick lit music playlist. (Who didn’t realize I would attempt a chick lit novel?) I’m not sure what songs/artists to pick from. Any suggestions? Something light and fun?

I also have to organize my time well once November hits, because I have already signed on to a few activities that will eat into my writing time. If I plan well, however, I do not think it will be an issue.  Of course, there are these little, adorable people who do not care much for my planning. It’s going to be a fun, fun, FUN adventure!!
