Nolan and I spent Jacob’s naptime coloring together. I spent the entire time focused on this single picture, while Nolan engaged in multiple projects (e.g. drawing some letters, coloring several pictures, offering color suggestions for my project). As I neared completion, Nolan felt my picture was lacking and asked to add his personal touch. His contribution to the picture is so striking, so completely him, that one cannot help but to be drawn to his inspired work.
